Shaft Manufacturing and Insertion
At Precision Stampings, we take pride in going above and beyond the basic requirements of our clients. Therefore, we also offer our clients in-house shaft manufacturing and insertion services according to their needs. This vertical integration has helped our clients reduce costs and save time, due to our efficient and state of the art production processes and punctuality.
Our shafts are manufactured in the Doosan CNC Lathe, Puma 3100ULY machine, acquired in 2022, from South Korea. The capacity of this machine is a maximum Outer Diameter of 400mmx3100mm length.
The shaft goes through a thorough inspection process on the line by a Renishaw device, and later by a Zeiss Model Handysurf, before checking its runout.
Post insertion, the final inspection of the component is carried out on a 3000mm long CMM, after which the component is packaged with the utmost care, into metal crates (shown below) in order to prevent any kid of damage during shipping.
